Absolutely loving the print and texture, sleek yet simple. Plus with every purchase made, a free gift was also given to the customer ! I received a choker diamonte necklace. Cant wait to feature it in a look/ OOTD post !

Rip The Runway || OOTD

Heyy guys ! Happy Monday

Last night along with Jourdan and Bre (my other friend from Atlanta) went along to the Rip the Runway UK showcase. #RipTheRunwayUK is an annual fashion and music show which is held in the UK, (kind of think of it like the American Rip The Runway ... yet WAYY better). What makes Rip the Runway so different from other fashion shows held in the UK is that music and fashion really to merge together to become one act. PLUS ! The audience has more options to get involved it was not an event where you just sat and watched females walk down a runway , it was just simply EPIC ! This is what we wore to the event.

The buzz around this event was on just a big scale ! This was estimated to be the biggest event of the summer, and it did really live up to it ! I don't think any event will be able to top Rip the Runway UK this summer so for all who missed it, you really missed out on a lot ! Photos will be up on Amor Magazine website

Kurt Geiger Garden Party [Quick Photo Diary]

Whilst reading the June 2013 issue of Vogue, I came across a little advert about the Kurt Geiger 'summer garden party' that was soon coming up (it was today - 30th May) ... I was meaning to RSVP soon after but you know when you suddenly get caught up with time, uni, work and etc ... but in due time, I did what i had to do and before I knew it, I got an email back with all the details !

It was a beautiful event ! So calm and chilled, and it was in my favourite store ! - The layout of the Covent Garden branch is so beautiful and has such a relaxing atmosphere !

 Not only was it a night about late night shopping, we had the chance to hear from Emily Zak herself on what she thinks about the trends for SS13 for shoes and accessories. 

Unfortunately, I didn't buy any shoes from the event, I honestly don't want to indulge in another pair right now, but I REALLY do love KG's accessories, so I went and bought an iphone and ipad case ^_^ hehe ... With the purchase, I also got a free gift (everyone who purchased anything tonight did)

If you feel like you've missed out on a great night - I have something to make you feel better ! Kurt Geiger has extended their 25% discount until the 2nd June ! - Whippiee !!!!

OOTD || Bank Holiday Weekend

Happy Bank Holiday all ! 

Last night along with Jourdan, I attended FashionEvents.co.uk launch party. Fashion Events is a newly launched website that provides a unique experience for both consumer and fashion designers to London, taking a 'fashion forward' approach to seeking new emerging talent in all aspects of the industry to give exposure to their work (so any designers reading this, I suggest you drop them an email ;) ) . Not only so, but they also report on many live events, and keep up-to-date throughout the fashion calendar. It has been around for not long, but officially launched yesterday due to such a massive response to the company.

It was a lovely evening, Jourdan and I met a lot of interesting people from various aspects of life, and the bank holiday weather around South Kensington ( the launch was at Boujis ) was just right ! Here is what Jourdan and I wore

Rip The Runway UK 2013 with Amor Magazine

So today; I, along with Sachan, went to the most esteemed and independent event of the AW13 fashion season ... 

Rip the Runway UK presenting ODF Clothing AW13 with Trendset UK.

A background of ODF Clothing: Created in 2007, merging the classic preppy look with contemporary fashion, creating a simple yet effective collections. 

It sticks to the norm as well as challenges and sometimes 'rebel' the strict codes of fashion, yet still staying to to the brand's famous moto "standing in to stand out".

A description by ODF Clothing on their brand "As a company it continues to explore internal qualities to the fashion industry, ranging the business market with fresh ideas and holds intentions of being distinguished for being a unique and talented establishment."

So here is what I caught from the collection. I recently bought a new lense and thought that it should make it's debut at the event, if I say so myself, the photographs didn't look half bad ! Might have to use this lense more often ! lol

 

 

 So as you can see, there are practically any piece for any occasion from their new collection, I'm in love with the neon knit with leather sleeves! Plus did you look at them kids ? - ADORABLE ! In addition, it was lovely to still see the use of print, and colors like deep orange and purple's within the collection. 

Loved what Trendset UK and ODF Clothing produced for this fashion show; technically, it was a TASTER, as the grand #RipTheRunwayUK2013 shall commence in June of this year ... won't say so much about what it is about except, follow @riptherunwayuk, @trendsetuk and @amormagazine for more ;) . Our evening was more a preview, and networking at the same time; yet I still had a smashing time with the Amor team.

Freshers Fair

Today I headed down to Central Saint Martins for the UAL Freshers fair! Wasn't alone (thank God) as I bumped into Jourdanne and Clara .

 

There was so much going on! Nando's giving out vouchers and student discounts, freebies, Clara even bought my an Elle Magazine and there was a free gift inside. Met a few people from my college who have gone on to their FD an other courses, society sign ups, queues for the raves etc etc

Good Evening Everyone !!!

Hope you all have had a good weekend and all that jazz! Thought I'd share an outfit that I wore from the past 3/4 days (As to mean, On Friday, not the whole of my extended weekend lool). Over the weekend, I attended a birthday gathering (unfortunately for only like HALF AN HOUR !!!), a dinner and dance, sleepover at two of my girls houses and a beautiful babies christening.

This was what I wore on Friday to the birthday gathering;

My new favourite coat from topshop, white shirt from topshop, green jeans from zara (sale), nude ballet  flats from topshop, jewelery from forever21 and topshop (sale), and my pink travelling bag from Longchamp (honestly this is the best investment EVER).

VIR2UOUS presents Fashion Exposed

Hey guys ...another fashion show review !!!

On Monday, I went along the RichMix ( I don't know if its rich mix or richmix but back to the story !) in Bethnal Green( east London) to visit this show which I had heard about from a friend. 

As regular readers and followers on twitter, i have been DYING !!!! to go to a show where it's not all JUST fashion, but letting my hair down (even though I wore a bun loool) and me not being so serious AND ever so critical .... I would like to thank the organizers of the event a big THANK YOU as it was a success and I did enjoy my time there ^_^

SOOOO for what you all have come for ... here is what my night was like !!

 The show started off with a performance by the lovely @whitneysingaah and her guitarist Dionne then opened with the designer Proverbs 31 ... a jewelry brand which defines chic, elegant and classic fitting for the modern woman during the day or night ...


 I liked the fact that the collection showed ethnicity and was not the typical 'tie-dyed/african material wrapped around a mold' or the typical peacock feather ... Quite unique !!!

   

Afterwards, we were presented with the next collection AGR and then the excitement mood was mellowed down to the tones poetic tales of 'Chaleboy the Poet' ... the atmosphere was so calm, yet exciting !!! loved it dude *sipps orange juice*... afterwards, 'Cross Eagle' which consists of clothing ranging from everyday jackets for men to t-shirts ... It's something that will suit many guys of today and finishes outfits with that 'casual luxury' look.

  

Soon afterwards, we were pumped up with the next designer, 'CLEE CLOTHING' ... now I've heard and seen the designs and have always wanted to see them feature in a show ... and now i got to !!! (happy livvyy loool) So the collection is definitely inspired by the urban surrounding in which we live in and come from, so it will suit many people that have that style which strongly reflects their personality from the roots (deep within) with a dash of style !!! I loved the Ghana material hot pants (just need to eat more so my bottom
would be able to fill the shorts )

 

And after that, we were introduce to one of my favourites from the night !! Even though the man spoke SO fast, (leaving it impossible to allow me to find out where I can find out more about him) but maybe He only done it because he felt it was a need for him to not talk for his creations ... as they literally DO speak for themselves". Love his take on using African material in fusion with European contemporary designs... He described that his collection is solely for the satisfaction of the woman .... hmmm, I think its merely like another Louboutin fiasco ... even though it's made for a woman to be sexy/beautiful, its the eye of the fox(i mean male) that is truly 'wowed' by His collection... Anyway, I'll find him and will let you know more about him ^_^  !!!

 

Tribal Gem was up next and I loved how the collection embraces not only two cultures which symbolise the designers roots and upbringing, but fuses two traditional materials and makes a beautiful vibrant collection. Both designers are British but backgrounds are from Africa (East and North).... fell in love with the blue jumpsuit.

 

Left hand, right foot was after (remember them from stomp out fashion show?) and the collection was completely different to the last one I had seen!!! Toni's (the designer) new collection proved daring cuts, leather and black are essential to a woman's wardrobe !! I'm telling you, if I never had a big chest, I would have her make that low cut jumpsuit ... I predict that during one season, that low cut neckline will be as big as African prints .. so I suggest that you start investing !!!

   

Finally the end of the show came, and last but not least was Ella Bethal, a beautiful collection with soul and class constructed by an inspirational woman fulfilling her purpose... the story behind her collections are always that her vision out of her purpose is being revealed through her clothing. Also, letting you know before you think .... the entertainment is all on my instagram  which is oliviazara ... DO check it out as you will get to see the marvelous oreo cupcake that I had to go on stage and walk for alongside the Azonto Kings performing boom boom TAH and A DOT Comedian ^_^.

So even though it was all fun, the part that kinda mad me :/ was lighting and positioning .... I won't state anything in much detail as you all will know, it might go on into a rant LOOOL ... but yeah ... thanks for reading ^_^
