It’s the beginning of October (how fast did September go guys) and I survived Paris fashion week *hair flip*. 

I am so happy to grace the beauty of the month, October with great expectation and celebration. The thought of working for PFW was so hectic when I was handed my schedule and daily requirements , it was my first time and it was truly an experience of a lifetime. Due to the nature of my position; I stayed in London but I had to cover my brand’s activities during show season . This did mean that I had some long hour working day shifts which were truly a struggle but it was all worth it (praise from my manager during show season and all of the stress was a surprise to me)! The idea of waking up at 3am and finishing work around 4pm scared me in the back of my mind but now that it has come and gone by, I want to do it al over again :).

My shoe of the month is most definitely these beautiful slingback from Chanel which I bought around 3 months ago. A timeless classic which I believe I will share many happy memories in the future.

Funny story about these babies – every since they came out I always wanted them but of course EU38 are like needles in a haystack. It so happened that after my first month working at SLP; I just happened to roll into the Bond Street store and they had only 1 pair left ! Then it came to the decision to buy or not to buy. I am a big spender when it comes to friends birthday presents and I wanted to take a girlfriend to Switzerland to see Beyonce but she was acting a little funy so I then said ‘YOLO’ and surprisingly my boo kitty Jonathan took me to see Beyonce this pass summer !

It's only Monday !

So Monday was the day of the @houseofoshae castings for the SS14 show this September. They were hosted near Blackwall tunnel, so when I planned my journey; I was delighted to have the chance to take the DLR line near there (ask anyone in London, and they will agree with me that travelling on the DLR at night is so much fun because London is so beautiful at night) but I forgot the major difference between night and day. In the morning, you're squashed between many people who are going to work therefore you don't see outside lol. After getting off at Blackwall tunnel station, it took me about 20-30 mins to get to the location, only to realise at the end of the day, I could of taken an underpass route lool ! Twas a good idea to bring flats! (As I have a slight injury in my knee)

But overall the day was really interesting ! It was something I never experienced; -  a model casting; it's one thing understanding the life of a model through the portrayal of ANTM/BINTM, as well as the vlogs of Leomie Anderson on crackedchinacup.com but actually going through their book, and seeing a range of interesting call cards, Jennifer was able to give me a little lesson on some stuff as well ^_^, so pleased to be a part of the House of Oshae team !  OO! And another peak of my day, whilst leaving the house and looking for the a song to start my day, @theofficalselfridges messaged me saying that I made it to their #denimlovers window, and they chose one of the outfits from my river island internship diary ! I have done so much research around this campaign and think it's one of the best I've seen this year ! Alongside the Burberry kisses and Prada Candy.

So far, so good in terms of starting this week, wishing you all positivity !

Denim Delicacy

Hi guys ! And a happy August to you all (even though we are on day 11 lol.

 For the loyal readers who understand why I lack regular blogging in the month of August, I thank you for your and patience, I'm trying to keep on updating ! For all of my newbies, let me explain *Caribbean accent*. The 3-8 August consists of my mother, 4 close cousins, have birthdays and other traditional family  celebrations take place, and THIS year; I have a lot of family coming over from the states, as well as my godson who is soon about to turn 10 ! Plus overtime at work - as you can see, I'm hell'a BUSY ! Meaning, I'm always tired, and I admit that I haven't taken much rest since hectic July. But I'm trying to keep you updated with my life and new things as much as possible.

Tip: For the days when you feel so like not making an 'effort' to seize your day, fling on a loose fitted summer dress! Whether that be a maxi from H&M, sundress from New Look, and a simple yet fun skater dress from River Island! A make-up tip I've learned recently is if you are not bothered for the attempting the 'coverage', apply a BB cream (best from Bobbi Brown if I say so myself) and finish with either a little bronzer (I buy mine from The body shop) , mascara and/or eyeliner then finish with a red lip ! This year, I've been really smart with my bank and really got into renewing last years stuff for this year, but I had to embark on purchasing this H&M dress, despite the weird shape, I'm in love ! The dress is light and looks good whether dressed up or down ! I even wore this to work today THEN went to my Church youth barbecue ^_^
