If after watching my video about apply to LCF has not altered your vision of becoming a student at LCF, or a communication based subject majoring with fashion as degree, now lets talk about wisdom before you actually acquire the knowledge of your field ( because as the great Robyn Fenty said,-)

A term that benefits this post, some may say that you don't need to intern, the economy is too tight to work for free in our generation. I get it, everybody understands and dare I say that it stands as a disgusting matter some overlook but it is what makes the skin harder.

If you have seen an advertisement for a PR role, you may have seen a line like ' no two days are the same' ; add in the back of your mind how also, no two days are worth the same. Sometimes you will be asked to come in on a Sunday morning (via text from your manager who is out of office, out of country for the weekend) and you have to therefore host your hangover in you heels running around London to pick up a look to send to another shoot because you actually don't know if your uber would be reimburse before payday.

These last minute, time consuming, nearly wanting to curse somebody but should you make a noise you will cry and mess up your make-up are invaluable experiences that no classroom or 30 slide presentation can show, so take the time to appreciate or rule out what you will and will not allow.


My personal opinion, take at least one and say you've done it

If you are not subscribed to my YouTube channel, there is a new video about my university, London College of Fashion up ^_^. 

Depending on how you look at it (in terms of 'wow that's so early' / 'cool you were serious from early ') , I knew from around the age of 15 that I would go to study at LCF, I loved fashion and the concept of journalism and the world of conversation. I don’t remember being heavily immersed in idolising it or looking at the atmosphere that is famously surrounding it. Not until I actually started applying for college did I look a my GCSE results and compared them to my A Level choices to tally up what would make sense in choosing my degree for the next 3 years.

UAL, the umbrella that London College of Fashion stands under is a fascinating universe to affiliate yourself with as a young creative individual who would like to build upon skills and venture into the world of the arts in a business like manner. However, as most people would ideally like to turn their hobby/passion into a dream business !

Hi YouTube !

Hi Guys! It's currently bank holiday weekend over in London so everyone is pretty chilled towards the end of May. I wish I could say May was a pretty relaxed month but it has been filled with wondrous activities, opportunities and a few hardcore sessions of editing birthing my first ever YouTube video !

Yes, I am on YouTube ^_^

I have always loved editing but I felt so comfortable behind the camera and playing about with editing software at university and college. But speaking with my girls from The Body Studio at Selfridges (we all no longer work there but we still identity ourselves as that), they always persuaded me to upload a stream of vlogs, create video content to tie in with my blog and add some more personality. I never felt like I would belong on YouTube but after some great ides, brainstorming and a sunny morning in London, i filmed my first with Jonathan , hopefully I will be sharing new video content about my experience with LCF, Fashion PR, tips and university life about twice a month (every other week) ! I hope you will enjoy this extended version of me and do feel free to share any topics that you would want me to film.
