H&M x Erdem

I have just come across the official imagery surrounding the HM x Erdem collaboration coming out next month. As Vogue said, expect to see a lot of lace as well as tweed pieces, I'm in love with the accessories as per with a surprising splash of streetwear (Who would've ever thought they could be an owner of an Erdem sweatshirt?)

Beyonce x H&M?

Whilst on vacation in the Bahamas shooting for a bikini shoot ... this photo of Beyonce in a floral top is said to be a part of the high street brands' new collection. Also a tweet by one of Beyonce's dancers,Kymberly Gipson - "First day of trial in the Bahamas! H&M all set … go". 
This was quickly deleted though. The photo was then leaked online and this finalized the reason how the 'speculation' of the 'Love On Top' star may be the new face of the Swedish High Street brand. If so, she will be following Gisele Bundchen, Jerry Hall, Imogen Poots,David Beckham and Freja Beha Erichsen.

Melika M Launches Collaboration Collection with Naoya Nakayama

Womenswear designer Melika M (founded by Melika Imoru in 2009) has launched a new and exciting collection for her SS13 collection collaborating with LCF graduate Naoya Nakayama. The pair have teamed up to create a clean, crisp and modern collection which encompasses many of the key trends seen in the SS13 collections by Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Dior and many more.

The vibrantly on trend, yet timeless SS13 range with a hint of a sixties vibe includes monochrome dresses adopting sheer panels, asymmetric white dresses and structured jackets, clean and crisp crop tops, panelled skirts and stunning colour block sixties inspired frocks. The collection gives young women the chance to adopt summer trends straight from the catwalk without loosening the purse strings.

 

 With years of experience in the fashion industry, Melika Imoru decided it would be a great idea to include a young up-and-coming designer, and with his stunning graduate collections at London College of Fashion, Naoya seemed the ideal choice. The pair offers each other invaluable qualities. Melika gives her years of experience and insider knowledge, and Naoya gives his fresh approach and revolutionary ideas.

   

  Melika M is for the woman who definitely appreciates attention to detail, classic cuts with an upgrade to flavour. What I adore about this collection is that it's fresh, clean, easy going and has pure sophistication; If styled, there is no need for accessories because it's freshness make the look bold from any other! Looking through the collection, that 'luxury holiday' vibe also comes through my mind - and that is amazing (well to me) considering the £XX price tag . This collection has pieces for the beautiful spring days (That's if the England weather will it to us) and the crisp summer nights.

Fashion Shower

Hey everyone, I know on my facebook page I had mentioned putting up this post by the afternoon, but time had really got the best of me and it is now going up during the evening ^_^.

This post is just  on my experience at the AdR for H&M launch. I went to the flagship store in London (Regent Street) and was the fourth person there (whippiee),even though I was by myself, it wasn't so bad because I had met two ultra-cool people (one happened to be from LCF in her 3rd year) and we all got talking with each other, then chatting, laughing etc etc.

When it came to deciding what I really wanted, it was a hard choice because this year, shoppers had the option to buy multiple items plus I had made a budget of spending £200 MAX. I knew my claws had to get onto that beauty case, and I was so .... strong-headed about getting the trolley which matches, but when I actually saw it, I was like HELL NO! The size was equivalent to when I carried my mothers' hand-luggage trolleys along to my nanny's for the weekend around the age of about 6! And I would have bought it as a Christmas present for maybe my mother (or SOMEBODY in the family) but again, the price did not match the size - although it was pretty, I had to let go.





Then came onto the accessories. I was torn in-between the alligator and snake bracelets simply because I love both animals; and they all looked absolutely divine lol ^_^ ... yet Stylist and Editor of Rebel Magazine, Namal had kindly helped me narrow my selection down to choosing the alligator simply because there are MANY arm cuffs and bangles/bracelets etc evolving around snakes- try out something else (had a point).


So in total, I had bought just the beauty case and the alligator bracelet - Also, as I was one of the first 70/80 customers, I was issued with a charm which I could put on my bag, or attach to my keys etc etc ...

Now the fly girl (3rd year student at LCF) Dahlia went HAM ! Bought the trolley, accessories and was queuing up since 12 midnight ! [Dedication I tell you]

To say the least, I feel really clean - fresh in fact lol, boy did that shower do something GOOD to me ... and We also got a mask of AdR ^_^

 

Anna Dello Russo at H&M | A lesson about fashion

I present to you, the Anna Dello Russo collection at H&M, not too long to wait as October 4th (the day it is available in stores and online) is only around the corner !

I absolutely adore this collection, my favorite pieces have to be the turquoise clutch and travel kit. But then again, I'm in love with the earrings and the bracelets. 

These pieces are just so YUMMY!

Maison Martin Margiela at H&M? Oui Oui Oui !!!

Grab your pitch notice boards my fellow fashionista's !!!

The rumor that Maison Martin Margiela at H&M has been confirmed and the launch of the fall collaboration shall be November 15th.

I can not lie, it is a surprising collaboration, as the historical context of the French fashion brand has cultivated a mythic quality to their brand. And most people will not know of their brand as they never seem to be advertised or aspired to communicate in a mass-market way. As 'MMM' had always remained as an exclusive brand, it shows a lot for it to be teaming with the Swedish brand and they want to raise public awareness to the house,

- big step for the label.

But what is more a 'big' issue is ... will it live up to it's previous successors Versace, Jimmy Choo, Lavin etc ?The french brand is a stunning and dynamic brand, but will it show on a H&M budget? Hmmmm

But ending this post, H&M are bringing out big guns this 2012 with collaborators ... Anna Dell Russo AND Maison Martin Margiela ... What are you most excited for?

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

All lovers of fashion, open your calendars as H&M has another announcement to make !!!

The iconic and legendary Anna Dello Russo (Italian fashion director of Vogue Japan) has teamed up with the Swedish retailer and is to collaborate and design a collection for H&M this Autumn !

 

The AdR for H&M collection will be filled with everything that describes or represents the 'over-the-top' maximalist style consisting of jewllery, sunglasses, shoes and bags. 

A preview released by the chain of the collection reveals lashings of gold, accents of turquoise, a snake theme and sunnies not be taken too seriously in. (Did I hear GOLD ?! YAYYY!)

A jewellery/ accessories collection, by a woman who knows ALL about how accessorization being essential to every piece. H&M couldn't of picked anyone BETTER ! From what I'm seeing, this is a collection for any slave of this industry, this is a collection where everybody can have fun turning a normal day into a glorious day ! I'm glad that she is doing it, I can ensure that we won't be seeing any ugly pieces of silver but fantastic pieces beyond imagination ... at good prices (hopefully !!)

The collection will be available world wide and online on October 4th 2012.

Looking shy but still oozing with that sexy appeal, Bajan R&B singer, Rihanna wearing next to nothing (which is not unusual) BUT with a softer face for the SS12 collection for Emporio Armani

David Beckham's underwear range for H&M

Ay YAH YAH !!!! Carribaa !!!!

First thing I notice is the eyes man ... 

Mr Beckham is teaming up with the Swedish retailer H&M and unlike other underwear campaigns that David Beckham had done, he is sporting his self-designed pieces. 

 

 

The collection consists of cotton briefs, boxer shorts, vests, T-shirts, pyjamas and long johns, inspired by pieces from his own wardrobe.

Versace for H&M SS12

Remember when I shared the MASSIVE announcement of the round two launch (otherwise known as SS12 launch) for Versace for H&M ?

Well, now i have the more to share :) *whippie* 

The cruise collection will be available from the 19th January 2012 ONLY online. The collection has taken inspiration from softer pastel colors, strappy sandals and lashings of Versace-favourite gold jewellery to colourful wildlife, with bug and floral patterns printed onto signature Versace pieces.
