Kurt Geiger Garden Party [Quick Photo Diary]

Whilst reading the June 2013 issue of Vogue, I came across a little advert about the Kurt Geiger 'summer garden party' that was soon coming up (it was today - 30th May) ... I was meaning to RSVP soon after but you know when you suddenly get caught up with time, uni, work and etc ... but in due time, I did what i had to do and before I knew it, I got an email back with all the details !

It was a beautiful event ! So calm and chilled, and it was in my favourite store ! - The layout of the Covent Garden branch is so beautiful and has such a relaxing atmosphere !

 Not only was it a night about late night shopping, we had the chance to hear from Emily Zak herself on what she thinks about the trends for SS13 for shoes and accessories. 

Unfortunately, I didn't buy any shoes from the event, I honestly don't want to indulge in another pair right now, but I REALLY do love KG's accessories, so I went and bought an iphone and ipad case ^_^ hehe ... With the purchase, I also got a free gift (everyone who purchased anything tonight did)

If you feel like you've missed out on a great night - I have something to make you feel better ! Kurt Geiger has extended their 25% discount until the 2nd June ! - Whippiee !!!!

Festival des Métiers - Hermes Exhibition

Happy Bank Holiday (and Memorial Day) to you all ! The weather in London was so beautiful! Waking up to a clear blue sky motivated me to chores before setting out to the Saatchi Gallery in Kings Road and check out the Hermes Exhibition, after all, today was the last day. 

It was such a wonderful experience; I had the opportunity to get a glimpse of the making of particular products like the famous silk scarves, leather goods, fine jewellery; clothing and etc. Not only was it an exhibition, but was also like watching a masterclass, learning what tools are used for particular stuff, how long they make, I even got to feel some of the different fabrics/leather which make some of the goods!

 It was a lovely way of spending my bank holiday, I am still amazed as to how much effort goes into these pieces !

My quick fix !

Lately, I haven't been feeling myself, hence the lack of blogging. I'm just going through some stuff which requires a lot of attention as well as focusing on my last term of university (I know they say 1st doesn't really count , but I still value every bit of it - and so you should) , I tend to not always approach my social media sites and blog as I may end up having a little rant or become negative; and I don't want that  !

I've kept myself really busy though ! Doing things that distract me from the thought of certain mishaps and even learning a few more things about the aspect of roles within this industry as well as life lessons.

But in between running from uni to work, to a meeting, to picking up something from a showroom, I stumbled into River Island (am I the only one that ' accidentally' ends up in a retail store when they need a 'pick me up'? ) , and saw these babies just calling out my name ! (Ok so they weren't calling my name, but you know that feeling right? lol)

I had seen them in the black ages ago, but during that time; I was challenging my mother how long I can go without using my debit card. But as I proved her wrong, (and I've also been on the hunt for a cool pair of ankle boot/sandals) these seemed like the best reward as well as enough to 'fix' me out of my mood lol.

They are truly a beauty aren't they ? And they went down from £55 to £35 !

I'm the 'quick-fix-on-one-item' type of person than to go on a haul, what are you ?

Hermes Exhibition

An exhibition dedicated to the luxury brand will be open to the public at the Saatchi Gallery from the 21st-27th May. Expect to see a selection of different crafts demonstrated live, how they make the luxury products in their workshops and much more !

The Festival de Métiers exhibition will only run for a week, providing to the public a fascinating experience and insight in the crafting of fine and luxury products which Hermès have prided themselves with for many years. We will be able to see how the iconic silk scarves are printed as well as the 'birth' and creation of handbags, fine-jewellery and (hopefully) much more.

So far, the exhibition has been held in Beijing & Shenyang in China and its now coming to London for a week before it sets off to Dusseldorf.

I definitely want to attend this exhibition, I find that brands who are holding theses sort of 'invites' into their world, letting you gain insight to how they have come from the past to the present excites me. Visiting the Valentino, Chanel  and Dior exhibition felt like taking a History class outside my university library and being able to get up close and really see the fabrics, and documents / stamps / symbols that makes the brand what it really is ! So I urge you to go, it will be a fun day out for you and friends and a great history lesson about one of the most well-known and well respected brands in luxury fashion.

OOTD || Bank Holiday Weekend

Happy Bank Holiday all ! 

Last night along with Jourdan, I attended FashionEvents.co.uk launch party. Fashion Events is a newly launched website that provides a unique experience for both consumer and fashion designers to London, taking a 'fashion forward' approach to seeking new emerging talent in all aspects of the industry to give exposure to their work (so any designers reading this, I suggest you drop them an email ;) ) . Not only so, but they also report on many live events, and keep up-to-date throughout the fashion calendar. It has been around for not long, but officially launched yesterday due to such a massive response to the company.

It was a lovely evening, Jourdan and I met a lot of interesting people from various aspects of life, and the bank holiday weather around South Kensington ( the launch was at Boujis ) was just right ! Here is what Jourdan and I wore

Hi all, happy Thursday !I can't believe we are May already !! Summer soon come ! 

- Oh yeah 

 I hope everyone is enjoying the weather in London today and using it to their advantage ! I certainly have ^_^ . Ernela and I had fun in LCF library being 'good' students *as per usual * . Whilst in the west end, I popped into Body Shop to re-stock on some items, for today and tomorrow, they have a promotion of 30% off EVERYTHING ! I couldn't let that opportunity waste.
