Once Upon A Time ...

The story of Gabrielle Chanel will never fail to bore any follower of fashion or steward of style. Her story has been interpreted many times through the use of film and now, the house of CHANEL has taken its turn to screen a preview of a new and upcoming project.

And who better to pick as Ms Chanel than actress Keira Knightley, starring with many other well known figures. The film was directed by Karl Lagerfeld and also features well known models like Lindsey Wixon.

Once Upon a Time, is soon to be screen and available to watch on the chanelnews.com around May, 100 years after the first boutique of Coco Chanel opened in the Dreauvill, France .

Beyonce x H&M - The Commercial

I'm not so sure about the commerical you know, when you read what 'proposal' about what the inspirations of the collection will entail and add it up with the production of the commercial, the finale does not seem right. I was kind of expecting a vibe that would go with her song 'party' or something similar, but I love that with her recent commercials, her new songs from her album are in it ... It's slightly making me upset that I won't be seeing the Mrs. Carter World Tour :(

Wild Soul Sunglasses

Black Owls

Wild Soul Sunglasses is not just your normal brand with a range of sunglasses for protecting your precious eyes. Each pair of sunglasses are crafted after intricate feature of an animal whose name they carry and are available in several rich and earthy colours using quality material.

"Wild Soul was created on the premise that there are causes greater than our own that can and must be supported. We are dedicated to giving supporters of Wild Soul a platform to help the causes that are close to their heart" -Wild Soul Sunglasses, which launch in late 2012.

I love the idea of incorporating charity with design, the sunglasses range included frames named 'the Lion, the Elephant, the Owl etc' so as customers, we are able to unleash our wild side whilst being charitable. Whichever pair of shades you decide to buy , you'll also be able to decide what charity your donations will go to at the checkout .

Whether you guys like to admit it or not, we all have a wild side; and I know when the sun is shining in UK, london-ers do get excited and wear their summer attire, but why not add a pair of Wild Soul shades to your ensemble?

ALCHEMY

Clara - Iman (Modelling the garments) - Rosie

My friend Clara had invited me along to her fashion show with her fellow students at Chelsea College of Arts. The BA Textile Design students had a project which involved putting on a fashion showcase. It was called 'ALCHEMY',  featuring a range of textile fabrics across all types of specialisms of textiles like print / weave and knit. Clara had created the upper garment and had partnered up with classmate and friend (on the right) Rosie who designed the bottom half

I decided to ask them to tell me about their thoughts of the project and  how they went about it. Check it out here :

I really did enjoy the show, the only part I was upset about was the bad choice of lighting, so I unfortunately can not show still shots of the look right now or even the other looks from the class ! But I will be visiting them soon ... so do keep an eye of this post which I will soon update again

Something new ....

Hey Guys, I hope all is well with everyone ! I've now gone back to university as of today; I can't believe that I'm in the third term of my first year, time has truly gone too fast !

Anyway, back to the post. For some time now, I had an idea about incorporating some sort of video diary about what I get up to on my journey, including interviews with designers (like when I ask them about their collection / catch up what's new etc) . I created a keek that will (hopefully) have mini  interviews of a range of stuff like designers after their shows, industrial people and maybe some ootds , and trying out with my camera to do conversations with designers featuring a little more about their concepts. I haven't got all my equipment yet ... by by God's grace ... I'll have some sufficient stuff by the end of summer.

Jhaniel and Aisha showing me three pieces from the collection
at Tibits, Heddon Street (lovely vegie resturant)

So, yesterday I met up with designer, Jhaniel Smith from House of Oshae, a print-based fashion designer from East London who recently launched her brand at Caribbean Fashion Week not too long ago . I met up with her team and Aisha from eat.pray.blog to find about their plans for a lookbook (which I'll be able to show you very soon) .

Here is the link to the keek interviews

Here's my first interview from the YouTube page
Hope you liked it, would love any feedback ^_^

What's in my handbag || OOTD

Nowadays, I cannot be bothered carrying around my normal larger than 'normal-sized' bag all day long. So recently, I invested in this River Island bag .
Rings - Ebay
Bag - River Island
Jumper - Topshop
Jeggings & Heels - Zara
My prayers are answered ! I can hold everything practically in my hand. And I've learnt to prioritize what is needed . Just these simple things :
Carmex , lip-gloss and a small mirror, my diary for note-taking and etc, purse and hand cream
And here is the rest of the outfit :

As you can tell, I truly do love these Zara print heels ... very comfortable to 'jog' around London-town lol

OOTD || Easter Monday

Heyy everyone ! Happy April (can't believe how quick time is flying) and happy Easter Tuesday (yurp, I said it.... Easter Tuesday ^_^ lol). I hope you all had (are still having) a lovely time with loved ones, and taking a rest before we get back to world of reality in a week or so's time.

Yesterday, my whole family spent the day  (and night) together chilling and carried on celebrating, we have a lot of things to be grateful and the bank holiday was an excuse to meet up with those who we hadn't seen since around Christmas.
Tried something which I'm not use to - mixing textures and print. Liked the end result if I say so myself

Blazer, Jeans and heels - Zara
Top - H&M
Clutch- Louis Vuitton
