Recent Purchases : Zara Dupes

Good Afternoon ! Hope you all enjoyed the Olympic Weekend and wish you all a prosperous week ^_^
Well I haven't been out to play, even when it came down to a little shopping ! Have a look at my little 'zara dupe' shopping trip on the more affordable end of the high street ... x

Had to pop to Primark in the West End this morning, and came across the my shoes from the AW12 Primark collection. In that post, I think I showed only the black color, but was surprised to see they had a further two colors (a peachy with hot pink heel, and one with (i think) green heel AND silver strap). These look exactly like the Zara ones which are no longer available, but for a fraction of the price ! Thank Primark ;)
Also, I had a voucher for River Island, and look at what I saw ! Another version the Zara khaki jacket with leather sleeves! Whilst in primark, i did come across their version, and was impressed (didn't look too 'fake'-as one would name a primark version to anything they 'copy'), but I had a lil problem with the sleeves. They are both as nice, but I just preferred the cut a little more. When it came to deciding if I should buy the £25 primark or £55 river island ... it wasn't about the price but simply the cut and how it fitted my shape (I'm a little picky lol)

About Town / Getting Ready for the Olympics

During this week, I toured London with a friend from the USA ... It was amazing how much I actually didn't know about the architecture in London town, and had not notice where some buildings were lol. I found it actually refreshing being a tourist in my hometown for the day. We done the whole 'shibang' from London Victoria- Hyde Park Corner, Tower of London , Buckingham Palace and even went on the riverboat lol ^_^

Here are a few photo's I'd thought to share with y'all

 Tips:
If your in London for the Olympics, be sure to do all the site seeing ... It only takes about a day to see and explore the 'essential stuff' ... two if you want the extras ... and I would suggest about three if you want to combine the shopping along Oxford street/Convent garden/ Bond street etc etc

Do check out the galleries and museums ! London is FILLED with beauty which is hidden in places like Whitechapel Gallery, Tate, National Portrait gallery etc

And finally ... it's always good to go off track - i.e- on the Bus Tour ride, I was surprised that they don't talk about places like Brick lane, Shoreditch etc etc ... Fashionista's , artists, photographers and social addicts ... make sure you explore that area ;)

Every now and then you gotta' go back in that closet, and pull out that Freakum day Dress

(Ha Ha !!! My mother named this post )

Hello all !! Today was the first day the people of London had seen sunshine + heat throughout the day (without any sudden outbursts of showers or bad weather) for LONGG time ! Today was also about hanging out with my two good friends from my secondary school; what a lovely day to just hang out, enjoy the sun and company, alongside chill !

Dress- H&M (Hence the title ... I haven't worn this dress in a good TWO YEARS!!! -And it still fits)
Sandals - Primark

What I love about today's post was how simple it is, I wouldn't call it so 'effortlessly chic' - because this is actually what I like to wear throughout warm+ days; or shorts, tank top (but this year, I might try out some crops) and sandals/espadrilles. Primark sandals are forever ruling my summer closet and their espadrilles too . H&M have also served themselves worthy with their basic and divided range ... I don't own much outside them two, but this year with pastels and florals as one of the top trends, Topshop and New Look are producing some chic stuff to wear during the warm weather and for holiday ... will post some examples soonish ;)

This week seems exciting! The weather forecast is looking boombastic so I can't wait to grab some shots whilst style hunting!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend guys, and I wish you all a prosperous week

Mini Haul -H&M & Topshop

Hey guys, just thought I'd share another purchased post of stuff I've bought recently from two of my favorite high street stores H&M and Topshop
All from H&M
Day dress-7.99
Black maxi dress-12.99
Jeggings -£10 (sale)
Top- 4.99
These were just a few things I'd had on one of my 'must-have' lists ... another pair of jeggings and a maxi dress. Can't go wrong with the fit of the both of them, and definitely can't go wrong with their prices.
Also, the striped dress is a lovely basic dress for the summer which I still believe will one day come during the Olympics. They come in various colors and are just perfect for your summer holiday wardrobe ... pair with a nice pair of flats or converses and a fine pair of sunshades ... Speaking of the Olympics, I bought this london 2012 top for only £4.99 !!! I'd thought it's a cute top and I am feeling the London 2012 Olympic vibes now lool, except for the London traffic around town -_-

Both from Topshop
Shadow Palm Pencil skirt-£38.00
Denim Skater Skirt-£20
I had my eye on this pencil skirt for some time but felt that my shape and this wouldn't go together .... but after the past few months and a lil toning around the waist and thighs ... I found a size 12 and 14 to try on and the 12 fit! just needs taking in a little. Would wear this with either a plain bralet (that's just me daring lool) or a tucked in top with a sleek pair of stilettos (I was thinking red?! Hmm, I dunno) ... But I really thought that it was a navy print (quiet sad, but still satisfied with the black and white print). Also, here we have this denim skater skirt which I just thought was SOOO cute !!! this just goes with anything for the summer ... you could brighten it up with a colored cropped bandeau and flats, to a picnic with a straw sunhat and sandals and an oversized bag with some super cool shades

Lana Del Rey is Announced - The New Face Of H&M

So first, she's absolutely beautiful (I know, really did not have to address her beauty), then Mulberry named one of their super-luxe bags after her, and now the international breakthrough songstress is announced as the global face of the high street favorite, H&M?! My Lord, Lana Del Rey is fast becoming a fashion industry favorite (but who could blame her? look at that picture !!) She will be sporting the AW campaign, featuring the shift dresses, beautiful jumpers, accessories and etc.
Can;t wait for more of the photos, and of course to shop the collection :)

Zara AW12 Collection

Photo's from Look

Here are some of the pieces that I liked from the new Zara collection which are currently in stores and online . I briefly skimmed through the looks whilst visiting the London,Victoria store sometime last week and was amazed with the irresistible collection filled with leather, studs, flashes of leopard print, reds and blues, and of course; peplum. I suggest my fellow Londoners, that we FORGET about summer because the high street stores like H&M/Topshop/Warehouse/River Island New Look and etc are dishing out some styles !!
My favorite has to be the nude studded boots and the red racer back dress. O! And that metal platform heel !!

All in favor of ditching the hope of a summer 2012, lets get ready for Autumn say I? loool

Good Evening Everyone !!!

Hope you all have had a good weekend and all that jazz! Thought I'd share an outfit that I wore from the past 3/4 days (As to mean, On Friday, not the whole of my extended weekend lool). This was what I wore on Friday to the birthday gathering;
My new favourite coat from topshop, white shirt from topshop, green jeans from zara (sale), nude ballet  flats from topshop, jewelery from forever21 and topshop (sale), and my pink travelling bag from Longchamp (honestly this is the best investment EVER).
Taken by Bernie ^_^ My training is paying off; love my girl to BITS !

Hope you like the fit and wish you all a prosperous week

Recent Purchases: Update part 2

Carrying on from earlier this morning ... this post is just about another batch of items which I've have recently purchased from Topshop and New Look (the top was a gift from family in US)

Dipped Hem White Top -Topshop and
White belted day dress-New Look (Sale)
This top from Topshop also comes in black, grey, khaki and navy blue (well, those were what I saw in Oxford Circus). It's included in the offer 'buy 2 for £10' so 10-10%? = Bargain ! You could wear this with so many things, like tucked in a skater skirt (or not, put a belt round it and accessorize), pair shorts a tuck parts of the top in it etc etc
Here is how the dress looks out ... there is also a cut out at the back (a little cut out .. nothing major). I purchased the dress from the Marble Arch store for £8 .. was really surprised to find a lot of them in there. I fell in love with this because
A) The color (i just love white)
B) The style of the dress- this could be worn during the day with a pair of ballet flats, sandals (if the British weather allows us to enjoy a least 2 weeks of solid sunshine), or if you can; a pair of wedges. Pair this with a lovely oversized straw bag/ a bright (or bold) colored bag (such as a jade green/royal blue/ burnt orange/red) or a shoulder bag .

If (just like me) you can't wear this at the present moment due to the weather in your area but are going on holiday during the Olympics then WOOHOO! The material and style of this dress is just right for a sunny and hot vacation to wherever ! And you could wear it during the day and also at night

Recent Purchases : Update

Time-00:16

I know I should be catching up on the lost hours of sleep and maybe come back to blogging in the mid-morning ... but I actually love to blog at this time of the night/ morning (I find that working around midnight is the best time gather energy and collect new ideas waiting to pop out).

So this post is just about a few purchases that I have bought from a couple of my favorite high street stores (both from the sale and normal price)

Over dyed Khaki Shirt :Topshop, Bleached Dipped Leggings- Topshop, Emerald Green Jeans with gold zip-Zara, red ballet pumps - Zara, Ballet flats-Topshop, ring-River Island (sale)

These are just a few of what I could find, I finished tidying my room today forgetting that I planned to do a post with all recent purchases and deals I came across this joyful summer sale season (will update later on today)

However, my current favorite pieces are the green jeans, the ring and the leggings. I have been SEARCHING for a lovely pair of green jeans as they could go with a number of colors such as reds, royal/navy blues, brown, black or even a soft nude ... So with that, I could always just place an over sized white tee and a kimono / blazer or coat to accomplish a casual or going out look (If I end up creating one, will do a style post )

These are how the leggings look like out
At first, they looked a little weird, but after trying them on, I became excited (like literally-jumping around in the changing room because I came up with what I would pair these with) But you all will have to wait until the near future !!

I will later post more stuff (no much) and ...yeah ... that's all folks !!! Until later today? ^_^

Patience Is Truly A Virtue

 Ella - Kurt Geiger (Sale)

Sit down kids, Ol-livia has a testimony / tale to tell y'all ;)
Since about April, I feasted my eyes on these babies, but the price (£160) did not seem so appetizing for a college student, with next to nothing in her pocket loool, I had faith that these would go down in the sale in the late spring/ summertime .... And it came to pass !!! (Thank God!! lol). They went down to £109 ... really would have loved for them to go under £100 ... but this price was FINE  for me!!!
Until, Shamel and I were browsing the sites, and I broke the news thinking that she would be proud of me ... until she also broke the news saying that they went down again to £89
I WAS LIKE !!!! >>>>>>>      -____________-
Your Question :Livvyy did you take 'em back?
My Answer : Hell Yeah I did !!!
Lesson: Never rush, take your time ... because the tortoise will still reach the finishing line :D
What a fairytale story aye?
The End

First Outfit post ... ever !!
On Tuesday, it was sunny in south-east but I couldn't rely on this British weather(Lucky i didn't... it poured down with rain in Central London !!)
My day was filled with chasing the streets of the West End for a pair of shoes from Kurt Geiger (their sale is MADD!!!), hanging out with Jourds and Sham Sham as well as handling private stuff in Crouch End ... This ensemble was quite comfortable and my favourite piece has tot be the navy blue coat from Topshop; was original £100+, but I got it for less than £30 (hammer-time)
