Holiday Post :Packing !

So, I leave in about 10 hours (i think lol) and it was only this morning where I thought 'hmmm, lemme start packing properly'. Unlike most holidays I normally go on, I didn't purposely go out shopping. I've only got a few things for this two week vacation (to be specific, I have 7 days worth of clothes)

Shorts and Skirt - Topshop and Levi | Dresses (two maxi and one day dress) H&M

Tops - American Apparel/Forever 21/Topshop/River Island | Sandals - Primark

Accessories - Ebay/ River Island/ Kurt Geiger and some made by moi !

That's it ! Less is best, and if I run out of clothes ... I guess I'll just hit an outlet store right?
Bring on the NYC baby ^_^

Hey Hey HEYY!!

It has been 9 days since I last blogged ... was talking to my mother about how sad I felt and she was saying 'Oh it's not that long' but I've realized that in the online world ... it's nearly forever ! lol

This post is just about what has happened over the last fortnight (nearly) as there was a series of events and celebrations that took place

First was, on Thursday, results came and God has truly answered my prayers as this September, I will be studying Fashion PR at University of the Arts London (yeah LCF). I was so happy and thankful that all the hard work truly paid off, also I was happy because I found out that all of my friends got what was wanted so YEAH !!!

Up still now, I still feel like I haven't celebrated it as much as I thought so, like you know when you think 'hmm, if i DO get this, I would go and celebrate by doing ...' - yeah I haven't ... but Jourdan did take me to my first open mic that night up in Shoreditch. I was excited (really- like extremely excited). I always thought I could hit a good note but the performers on the night were phenomenal ! Such stage presence and confidence ! Love seeing raw talent ! I also saw a lot of friends which I had planned to catch up with over the holidays but didn't have a chance (don't you ever realize after careful planning, something like meeting up with people just fail? haha) . The evening was truly fun !

And as of now, I'm in packing mode ... not for getting ready to move out  for university but ...
I'm going to New York City !!!
From Tuesday, my mother and I (with the help of British Airways) will be flying of to the concrete jungle of where dreams are made of for two whole weeks ! Excited am I? YEAH BUDDY!!! And I'll be out there for FNO (Fashion's Night Out) so hopefully, everything will be fun fun FUN !

Will definitely do a suitcase blog post soon though, I truly believe that I am a guru at packing . I always think 'less is truly best'.

Until next time ! (Anyone going LCF in September- Hello!) x

Prada AW12 -High Street vs. Designer

So... The autumn winter collection by Prada consisting of  70's wallpaper print has inspired high street stores like Topshop and Warehouse! Even though we want to be  apart of this jazzy trend, we can't afford it; but -

- You can now rock this trend with the help of Topshop's accessories collection like the Geo Print Ipad case, e-reader case of shopper bag. I absolutely want that iPad case for myself and my mother. What I love about the iPad case is that you don't even need to have an iPad you rock it. And if you want to be ahead of the fashion pack, why not grab this geo print jacket from warehouse? Who needs Prada when you have the high street aye?

These accessories could go with a plain trouser suit, or, for the brave heart, clash with florals or stripes making a super cool statement.

Africa Fashion Week 2012 #AFWL2012 part 1 of day 2

So yesterday, I was lucky enough to visit Africa Week London 2012.
I had won a VIP ticket c/o Fashions Finest and was extremely excited as last year, I was in Jamaica whilst this event was going on and not able to attend. Gladly, this year I made it to the event which took place in Spitalfields Market, so I had an idea of how the venue would look like due to the fact that I attended Alternative Fashion Week earlier this year; but that could NOT be compared to this (obviously) because of the different type of designers, exhibitors and overall, turn out ! Unfortunately, I won't be able to put everything that I captured on my blog, but do check out the facebook and tumblr page's for other shots that I'll put on those sites. Also, do check out my youtube channel as I have some filmed footage that I took on my iPhone.

But yeah, here are some photo's of designers and their collections ... and just a little more of what I saw at AFWL
