The Life Of A LCF Summer School Student !!!!

Yurp, this is how it all started ....

... on the 10th of June, I enter my home to pick up the normal mail for mummy, not noticing the 1ST CLASS letter with my name on it .... from LCF .... OMG done my lil two-step (hurt my foot, called my mum and went crazy loool)

I GOT INTO LCF SUMMER SCHOOL!

 - and before I forget, I would love to thank my home girl Clara-Louise *mwah*

Then the countdown started, and I would say that the nerves kicked in (you know, like what to wear , how to act , what to expect)

then before you know it .... the day came !!!

11th July, woke up at 7, got ready and listened to choice fm, headed out w/ my toast and hot chocolate to east-dulwich train station to wait for my journey to start. Before i knew it, i was in Shepherd Bush tube station, walking to lime grove and tweeting at the same time, thinking about how excited i was to start my new week. And guess what pops up on twitter afterwards?!

So my first day was all about fashion media, we had a lil ice breaker , found out some interesting facts about the people i would be spending my week with. I even found out that there were 2 other students from my college AND i had never seen them before ... quiet funny actually ... after lunch we were introduced to 'news and feature writing'

I wont bore you with the content of the whole week, just the really exciting parts ;)

• On Wednesday, we had our on-screen interviews ... My group was w/ crazy people named Jasmine, Anthony, Ernela and Rianah. Soon after that was finished, we went to westfield shopping centre to interview people about a rumour which we had heard about topshop opening a tattoo parlour in their flagship store. My group got kicked out unfortunately loool, but it was still fun :D
• On Thursday we went into the computer suite and got to use MAC's :D. The day felt like living the life of a journalist in the office and meeting deadlines.... I managed it and enjoyed it at the same time :)

I would love to show the world the whole video BUT, as it is set to private on vimeo, i recorded just a lil extract of what my group had done in the on-screen video. I do apologise for the poor quality.

River Island AW11

So, river island is also showing off their fabulous AW11 campaign to the world. Various styles are in the collection like :

• 70's - Yes !!!! 70's has been still going on from spring and its considered as the most important for river island so expect to see a lot of pieces inspired by 70's evening wear, with duel tones, silks and colourful furs. For the day, expect to see earth tones, styles that are very grown up and luxurious.
• Another trend from the caltwalks that river island had taken to issue in their collection is the 60's. If i say so myself, its very refreshing to see this trend being shown because its been a long time ! (i love the 60's trend) Expect to see A-line shapes, lady-like mod looks.
• Masculine & Tailoring is also featured in the river island collection . This is where boy meets girl, explains a lot about what river island is because the brand is really trendy and urban and etc
• Winter White - Expect to see garments and partner them with white fur and etc
• For accessories, the main biggest trend is TRIBAL . From river island, the accessories department will have a lot of ethnic and BOLD prints, colourful, and yes FEATHERS !!!

Time to start that winter 2011 wish list!

Topshop has revealed their amazing new AW11 fashion campaign ...

... And before you say anything guys, YES I know it's only July, but after seeing these campaign images for other stores, Topshop has got me wishing for the arrival of autumn to approach England QUICK !!!

But, you dont have to wait until September for all the new-season must-haves to land, as some of them are hitting Topshop stores next week (from about the 12th of July

In this AW11 trend, expect to see A LOT ! Topshop has all the catwalk fashion trends covered with cool polka dots (thanks to designers like Marc Jacob and Stella McCartney AW11 fashion collections) and chic  fur-trimmed coats.

An AMAZING New Collection for AW11 by Primark

Yes Guys, I have found out the main stuff that will be in stores for AW11 in primark .... prepared to be AMAZED !!!

Wowsers… check out their hot new AW11 fashion collection!

Definitely their strongest range to date, the high street fashion brand is looking more and more high end by the minute. Like taking a trip down memory lane, Primark’s fashion collection includes colour-pop ’60s miniskirts and TBA-style shift dresses.  This season, i feel that Primark's important target is to show consumers that the detail is key, with peter pan contrast collars and bright opaques.

The ’70s stuff is definitely a fave, with wide brimmed velvet hats, flared trousers and skinny rib polonecks nailing the look. I doubt i'll be outside the doors of London West End store when it comes out (because im in Jamaica ) but i know, YOU GUYS can’t wait to get your hands on it all – and with the first drop hitting in August.. so  it won't be long!
